Today's Action Photo

Today's Action Photo is a picture of a sculpture called "War Mother" at the Umlauf Sculpture Garden in Austin, Texas. The brochure says it was cast in 1939 by Charles Umlauf as his reaction to the Nazi invasion of Poland that started World War II. The large hands represent strength. Photo taken with a Canon Elan IIe camera on a Manfrotto Wilderness Tripod, 70-200mm f/2.8L lens, Kodak Royal Gold 400 film. Exposure settings were 1/4000 at f/2.8 with +1/2 stop of exposure compensation.
