Today's Action Photo
Today's Action Photo is a picture of a male cardinal perched in a tree at Brazos Bend State Park near Houston, Texas. This guy flitted around on the ground for quite some time, and I tracked him trying to get a great cardinal closeup, but he wouldn't let me get a clear shot and eventually flew up into this tree and took off right after I took this picture. Photo taken with a handheld Canon Elan IIe camera, 70-200mm f/2.8L lens with a B+W multicoated UV filter, Kodak Portra 160 film. Aperture was f/5.6, but I didn't get the exposure time because the light was too bright to read the dim numbers in the viewfinder.
