For this test, my Nikon D7000 was on a tripod a few inches to the left of the White Lightning strobe on a light stand. I used the basic 7-inch reflector on the X2400, no modifiers on the SB-900, which was set at 35mm zoom. Both the camera (with SB-900 mounted on top) and the strobe were exactly 10 feet from the wall being photographed. The same manual exposure of 1/250 second and f16 at ISO 100 was used for all shots. The SB-900 pointed away from the wall at 1/128 power was used to slave-trigger the X2400.

So, to my eye, the 1/8 power White Lightning X2400 image plus 1/3 of a stop is about as bright as the full power Nikon SB-900 flash image, making the X2400 about 7 times as powerful as the SB-900.
