This is the little triangular traffic island in the middle of the intersection of Congress Avenue and Barton Springs Road just south of the Congress Avenue Bat Bridge in Austin, Texas. This was taken in late February 1998 before construction on the bat sculpture had begun. This picture is facing west down Barton Springs Road.
